美国劳工部报告称，截止1月28日的当周首次申领失业救济人数下跌12,000，达到季度调整的367,000，低于所预计的373,000。
上周的数据为从377,000调增的379,000。
在过去的14周中首次申领失业救济人数已经12次跌至40万以下，这是历史上与劳动力市场改善相关的水平。
1月21日结束的当周申领连续失业救济人数下跌至343.7万，低于所预计的356.5万。 前一周申领连续失业救济人数为从355.4万向上修正的356.7万。
过去四周申领失业救济人数平均值减少2,000至375,750。月度平均值被认为是衡量劳动力趋势更准确的工具，因为它减少了周对周数据的不稳定性。
数据发布之后，美元兑欧元涨幅收窄，欧元/美元下跌0.31%，达到1.3119。
