在美股经历剧烈动荡数周后，投资人15日当周将寻求平静以找寻机会重返市场，关注再次转向美国经济及欧债危机。
据钜亨网8月15日报道，美股过去三周表现创下2年半以来最差，被吓坏了的投资人，本周（15日当周）将寻求平静，找机会重返市场。走过美国信评遭降的冲击，市场焦点将回归美国经济展望，以及欧洲政界能否遏阻欧元区的债务危机。
美股上周（12日当周）大幅震荡，一天大跌，隔天随即大涨，交易量创下2008年10月以来新高。美股这波卖压，使S&P 500指数自7月22日以来共跌12.4%，所幸周四周五两天都收高，波动也趋于缓和。分析师说，这有助股市回归平静，美国经济数据若好转，尤其有益。美股12日收高，但一周来仍下跌；道琼工业指数累计跌1.5%、Nasdaq降1%，S&P 500过去15天有11天下挫，3周跌掉12.4%。
本周美重要经济数据，包括纽约、费城联准银行所作区域制造业调查，及月度成屋销售。制造业是美国经济最强健的区块，但日前公布的ISM 7月工厂活动指标，竟降到2年低点，勉强高过荣枯临界值。
企业财报方面，本周以零售业者为重心，包括Wal-Mart Stores(沃尔玛)财报。
除了美国经济展望之外，欧洲债务危机的忧虑，也还在持续。本周法国总统沙科吉将与德国总理梅克尔会面，如何处理危机，预期将是双方讨论的重点。
